Cooking Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak: If the leftover steak is cold, allow it to come to room temperature for about 15-20 minutes. Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick. This will help keep the meat tender when added to dishes.
  2. Make a Salad: In a large bowl, combine the mixed salad greens, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumber, and red onion. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper to create a dressing. Drizzle over the salad and toss until well coated. Top with the sliced steak and crumbled feta cheese for a hearty meal.
  3. Prepare a Sandwich: Toast the slices of whole grain bread if desired. Spread a layer of mayonnaise on one side of each slice. Layer the sliced steak evenly over two slices of bread and top with additional vegetables, such as lettuce, tomatoes, or avocados. Place the remaining slices of bread on top to complete the sandwich. Cut in half and serve.
  4. Make a Stir-Fry: Heat a couple of tablespoons of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add your choice of stir-fry vegetables and cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until they are just tender but still crisp. Add the sliced steak to the pan and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, just until the steak is heated through. Season with soy sauce or your favorite stir-fry sauce, and serve over rice or noodles.
